Jersey Mike's is a sub sandwich chain that began on the Jersey Shore in 1956. It slices meats and cheeses to order, serves cold subs Mike's Way with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, oil and spices, and grills its cheese steaks on the flat top. Subs are ordered by name or number.

Pick a category to jump to its subs, sizes, prices and calories.
Every Jersey Mike's sub has a number, and regulars order with it: a "#13 Giant, Mike's Way" is an Original Italian on the large roll with the house toppings. Cold subs use #1 to #14, hot subs and cheese steaks use #16 and up. Tap a number to jump to that sub.

A Regular sub costs $8.85–$11.95, and a lunch with chips and a 22 oz drink costs $13.14 to $16.24 before tax. A Giant runs $16.85–$19.95, a Mini $6.95–$8.65. Store prices differ by area, so check the state table below.

The lowest priced Regular subs are the cold subs at $8.85, including the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite, #3 Ham and Provolone, #11 Stickball Special and #14 The Veggie. For less food and money, Mike's Mini Bundle pairs any Mini cold sub with chips for $7.99.
Cold subs come in five ways: Mini, Regular and Giant rolls, a wrap, or a Sub in a Tub bowl with no bread. Hot subs come as a Regular, a Giant or a bowl. The official menu gives no lengths in inches, so the bars below compare the #13 Original Italian by calories, the clearest guide to how much food you get.

Yes. A Sub in a Tub is the same sub served as a salad bowl with no bread, at the Regular price. The #13 as a bowl has 650 calories against 960 on a Regular roll, a saving of 310 calories and 59 g of carbs.
Mike's Way is how Jersey Mike's finishes a cold sub: onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano and salt. It costs nothing extra. On a Regular it adds about 280 calories, and 250 of them come from the oil blend, so asking for no oil or light oil is the easiest way to trim a cold sub.
Mini and Giant extras are priced by size.
Jersey Mike's bakes its rolls in the store. You can pick white, wheat or rosemary parmesan at no extra charge, and gluten-free bread costs $2.05 more. On a Regular the breads differ by about 100 calories at most, so the choice is mostly about taste.
| Bread (Regular) | Calories | Extra cost |
|---|---|---|
| White Bread | 309 | No charge |
| Wheat Bread | 307 | No charge |
| Rosemary Parmesan Bread | 340 | No charge |
| Gluten Free Bread | 235 | +$2.05 |

Cold subs are the heart of Jersey Mike's: meats and provolone sliced in front of you, then dressed Mike's Way. They come as a Mini, Regular, Giant, wrap or Sub in a Tub. The #13 Original Italian is the classic Jersey Mike's order, and the clubs, turkey and tuna subs round out the list.

The lightest full meals are the Sub in a Tub bowls, which start at 380 calories, and the Mini cold subs from 480. For protein, the steak and chicken cheese steaks and the roast beef subs lead. The lowest calorie Giant is the #16 Mike's Chicken Philly at 1370 calories.
Every bread except the gluten-free roll contains wheat, and provolone or American cheese puts milk in most subs. Egg comes from mayo and creamy sauces, as on the BLT, the clubs, tuna and several chicken cheese steaks, and every cheese steak contains soy. Gluten-free bread costs $2.05 extra, but food is sliced and grilled on shared equipment, so cross-contact can happen.

Most Jersey Mike's stores open at 10 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. every day of the week. Some open as early as 7 a.m. or stay open until 10 p.m., so check your store in the app, especially on holidays.
Hours come from 864 store listings on the official locator. Each franchise can set its own hours, and many stores close early on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The official store locator lists 3,447 Jersey Mike's stores across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. California has the most with 418, followed by Texas (272) and Florida (267). New Jersey, where the chain began, has 150.
Order by name or number, pick the size, choose the bread and say Mike's Way for the house toppings. Add chips and a drink for the combo price at the register. In the app you can order ahead for pickup, use rewards points, and pick delivery where the store offers it.
Jersey Mike's began in 1956 as Mike's Subs in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Peter Cancro bought the shop in 1975, renamed it and began franchising in the late 1980s. The chain has since grown to 3,447 U.S. stores, and Blackstone took a majority stake in 2025.
A Giant is about twice a Regular. The Original Italian Giant has 1820 calories against 960 for a Regular, about 1.9 times as much, and costs $18.85 instead of $10.85. Buying one Giant instead of two Regulars saves $2.85.
A Mini is the smallest size of the cold subs, priced $6.95–$8.65. Hot subs and cheese steaks come only as Regular, Giant or a Bowl. A Mini Original Italian has 570 calories, a little over half of the Regular.
No. A kids sub is smaller. The kids ham, turkey or salami sub has 240 to 270 calories, while a Mini ham and provolone has 480. The kids meal adds a cookie and a drink for $6.45 and is meant for children 8 and under.
Each sub keeps its own number, so the list has gaps where no sub uses a number today. Cold subs run from #1 to #14, while hot subs use numbers such as #16, #17, #26, #31, #42, #43, #44, #55 and #56. Ordering by number is still the fastest way to ask for a sub.
Yes. Gluten-free bread costs $2.05 extra on a Regular sub, and there is a gluten-free snickerdoodle cookie for $2.69. The bread is baked with cornmeal and the slicers are shared, so people with celiac disease should ask the store how it prepares gluten-free orders.
Subs by the Box feeds 12 people and costs $85.95, with up to four kinds of sub in one box. For a group of 30 that means three boxes. Lunchboxes serve one person each and come with chips and a cookie.
Jersey Mike's started as Mike's Subs in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, in 1956. Peter Cancro bought the shop in 1975 and grew it into a franchise chain. The investment firm Blackstone bought a majority of the company in 2025, and Cancro stayed on to run it.
The official Jersey Mike's website and app do not list a chain-wide senior discount. Most stores are run by franchise owners, so a few may choose to offer one. Ask at the counter before you pay, and check the app for the current offers in your area.
